Topical Science
We would like volunteers to discuss their career journeys with children from Key Stage 2 during British Science Week. We want the children to believe that they are capable of achieving a career in science, seeing it as an interesting/exciting field to be involved in. In our last careers fair, interactive stalls with resources were the most popular and it proved to be a great success. We will have roughly 270 children come down in classes of 30 to discuss careers 1:1 or in small groups.
Speakers
Any speakers who have scientific links in their careers would be perfect. We want the children to have a broader understanding of scientific careers and the flexibility around them. It may be that the area studied is different to the eventual career path and that's fine. Any interactive resources or leaflets would be welcomed. We want the children to see science as an exciting and interesting career.
If you have an alternative presentation/activity to run, please get in touch to discuss.
