Dr Hughes discovered her enthusiasm for Science Communication whilst studying for her PhD in Biomedicine. Her enjoyment of demonstrating interesting science to school pupils then went on to encourage Jenny to start her own company, Bright Sparks Science. This company's main objective is to make science fun, inspiring and accessible to all through providing a range of hands-on science activities that can be experienced by everyone. Dr Hughes is know locally known as Nitro-Jen!
Jenny can provide a range of hands-on science activities including: science shows, after school clubs, workshops, parties, and festival stalls. Education: PhD in Biomedicine: with thesis title "The role of LPCAT in regulating cellular inflammatory responses to toll-like receptor ligands", University of the West of England. BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science, with mains subjects in microbiology and immunology, University of the West of England.
