Rising sea level: The crisis on our doorstep

Rising sea level will permanently alter coastlines and thus is perhaps the most profound long-term aspect of climate change affecting coastal communities everywhere, as well as the global economy. In this talk, oceanographer and author John Englander will highlight some surprising scientific aspects of sea level rise. Drawing upon his expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctica he will explain why sea level rise can no longer be stopped and why it is urgent that we commence intelligent adaptation.
