Rethinking Learning: New Models for Online Learning

During the pandemic global education was disrupted. From the “emergency remote teaching” phase of 2020, through to new models of online and hybrid learning, we have seen significant changes in the perception of digital education and how it compares to traditional face-to-face approaches. This lecture will explore the future of digital education, and what this means for learners and teachers from schools and universities, and for examiners.

Professor Tom Crick is Professor of Digital & Policy and Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor (Civic Mission) at Swansea University. He holds a joint research and innovation appointment split between the Department of Education & Childhood Studies (Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences), and the £32m Computational Foundry (Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science & Engineering).
