Nick Crane presents Latitude: The Astonishing Adventure that Saved the World. A Royal Geographical Society with IBG lecture

The story of longitude has captivated millions, but who measured latitude? Nick Crane tells the story of the world’s first international scientific expedition, an extraordinary saga of surveying, mountaineering and murder set in equatorial South America. Latitude is an epic story of survival and science set in mountain camps and remote observatories. It is also a story of exploration in which an unruly gaggle of misfits made breakthroughs.
