A Landscape History of North East Yorkshire

Ryedale in North East Yorkshire encompasses one of the most unique landscapes in Britain. Mapping by early geologists in this area directed early earth scientists away from theology and towards more modern geological theory. This talk will examine how those ideas were shaped and by whom, and how these ideas and observations are used in the context of modern research. A Cafe Scientifique talk
