Chris is passionate about bringing academia, business and city leaders together to co-create solutions that make our urban systems smarter, more sustainable and resilient – and a better place to live. Being actively involved in the Climate-KIC project “Smart Sustainable Districts” with a variety of redevelopments such as the Olympic Park London, the Docks de St. Ouen (Paris Region), Utrecht City Centre and Moabit (Berlin) he has dealt with aspects around energy, mobility, water, etc.
Chris works on Smart Cities and Energy. In the past he has explored the effects of policy on the potential uptake of Low Carbon Mobility, contributed to the New Climate Economy Report, worked for the UK Parliament on Demand Side Response, as well as for Daimler North America in the manufacturing & engineering of Hybrid Buses. During his Climate-KIC PhD program, he has created the Climate-KIC Alumni Association, as network of young entrepreneurs and innovators. Chris is an Engineer and Economist.
