Make an electric fan boat and balloon buggy FREE STEM WORKSHOP

To encourage engagement with young people and inspire the next generation, we invite you to come and learn how to run fun engineering activities for children. Participants will make their own electric fan boats and balloon buggies. Projects tie in with the school curriculum (science & DT) and provide a fun and engaging design and build experience. The lecture is aimed at helping participants to understand public audiences and events and plan their engagement opportunities. TICKET REQUIRED

Speakers

Caroline Alliston is a Fellow of the IMechE. She creates STEM resources and runs design and build workshops for children, teachers, engineers and STEM ambassadors. Corra Boushel is a Science Communications Officer with UWE. She co-ordinates schools outreach and public engagement activities.
